Some common issues occur with air conditioning systems, so you might be able to try and fix the problem on your own. However, you should call Favret immediately if your air conditioner is leaking refrigerant or making odd noises.

The fix. If you’re experiencing unit hissing, thumping, rattling, buzzing, screeching, or banging noises from your unit, these are signs of potentially severe problems. We suggest that you shut off your air conditioner and call Favret Heating & Cooling at 614-488-5211.

The fix. First, check the batteries in your thermostat to make sure they are in working condition. If there is no problem, check the thermostat settings and double-check whether the cooling mode is on with your desired thermostat settings. Check the circuit breaker if everything is correctly set and your AC is still not turning on. Reset if necessary.
